What began as Ana Colombo's personal commitment to supporting new parents has grown into Ana Colombo Maternal Care, a team of experienced birth doulas, postpartum doulas, newborn care specialists, and pediatric sleep consultants united by one purpose:

The Beginning
Ana began supporting families during the delicate postpartum period, discovering a lifelong passion for nurturing parents as they adjusted to life with a newborn. Those early experiences laid the foundation for the compassionate, family-centered care that defines the practice today.
February 2020
Doula Training, Childbirth Professionals International (CPI)
Ana completed comprehensive doula training through CPI, building a strong foundation in evidence-based birth support, advocacy, and compassionate family care.
2020
Certified Postpartum Doula
Ana earned her certification through Childbirth Professionals International (CPI), expanding her expertise in providing emotional, physical, and educational support throughout the postpartum transition.
2021
Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)
Committed to providing even more comprehensive care, Ana completed advanced training in newborn care, specializing in infant feeding, soothing techniques, healthy sleep foundations, and developmental guidance.

Birth Doula Practice
Ana began supporting births throughout Bay Area hospitals, birth centers, and home birth settings, offering continuous care before, during, and immediately after childbirth.
2024
Expanding to Meet Families' Needs
As the needs of modern families evolved, so did the practice. Services expanded to include infant sleep support, lactation guidance, twins and multiples, LGBTQIA+ families, and surrogacy journeys.

Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant
Ana completed professional certification in pediatric sleep consulting, adding evidence-based sleep education and individualized sleep planning as a core part of the care families receive.
